The Fellows House is a four-star hotel and part of the luxury Curio Collection by Hilton.

This hotel benefits from a fantastic location just a five-minute walk from the University of Cambridge and a range of fine dining including the Grand Arcade, Cambridge Market Square, and the All Saint’s Garden Art & Craft Market.

The hotel is wheelchair accessible and offers a wide range of amenities. Rooms at the hotel come in two formats; a traditional hotel room or apartment-style.

If you’re only spending a few nights in Cambridge, then a hotel room here is ideal. However, if you’re looking to spend a little longer, consider upgrading to an apartment and benefit from a lounge area and a private kitchen.

This newly opened hotel is situated in the nearby area of Eddington, three miles from Cambridge city centre, so you’ll want to either take the bus, grab a taxi or hire a bike to travel between the two locations.

We opted to stay here on our recent break in Cambridge and offered apartment-style rooms complete with a kitchen area.

However, this hotel also comes complete with a state-of-the-art on-site, making it an excellent choice for those looking to stay in Cambridge for longer than just a night or two.

The University Arms is a four-star hotel and part of the Autograph collection. It boasts a central location within Cambridge city centre next to the picturesque Parker’s Piece.

Facilities inside the hotel including 192 rooms inside the hotel come complete with air conditioning, a coffee machine and a minibar.

While selected rooms also feature a balcony and terrace – an ideal added luxury in the summertime.

4. Madingley Hall

Five miles northwest of Cambridge city centre, you’ll find Madingley Hall, a five-star luxury hotel situated inside a 16th-century country house on an incredible 7 acres of land.

Given its distance from the city centre, staying here isn’t for everyone.

However, the potential inconvenience of a 20-minute car journey into the city is more than compensated in the affordability of rooms here, with prices often cheaper than three and four-star hotels closer to the city.

Hyatt Centric Cambridge is situated in Eddington, 3.5 miles northeast of the city centre and next door to Turing Locke – where we had the pleasure of staying during our most recent trip to Cambridge.

We opted to take the bus from outside the hotel into the city centre during our time here.

Buses run frequently, cost less than £2 per person, and take around 15 minutes, while Uber’s are also available for under £10.

While each room also has a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Parking is also available at the hotel in the underground car park for an additional fee.

7. Hotel Du Vin Cambridge

Once owned by the University of Cambridge, the luxury Hotel Du Vin is an architectural delight both inside and out.

The Clayton Hotel is situated in the incredibly vibrant new city quarter, just one minute’s walk from Cambridge Railway Station.
