30 Best Places To Eat At Universal Studios Hollywood

We are Universal Studios Hollywood annual pass holders and subsequently, have the pleasure of visiting (and dining at the) theme park on a very regular basis.

Our friends and family know this, and therefore often ask us where the best places to eat are when they are planning a theme park trip of their own.

Given this, we’ve gone ahead and put together our recommendations below covering both the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and the connected CityWalk entertainment centre.

1. Three Broomsticks

Harry Potter fans will be delighted by the Three Broomsticks located inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

This quick-service restaurant serves a range of British cuisine including shepherd’s pie and fish and chips alongside traditional favourites such as turkey legs and french fries.

2. Jurassic Cafe

💰 Price: $

Exploring Jurrasic World is no doubt going to leave you hungry.

Thankfully, the Jurassic Café is here to help with an extensive range of American classics including; a Turkey Leg Platter, Citrus Glazed Chicken and the incredible Isla Chicken Sandwich.

3. Hollywood & Dine

The fantastic quick-service resturant Hollywood & Dine is perfect for those counting calories or looking to switch it up with something special.

Serving popular dishes including; Pork Ramen, Chicken Asian Salad and Tuna Poke alongside classic desserts such as a Cinnamon Tiger Tail Donut and a Funnel Cake with Powdered Sugar there really is something here for everyone.

4. Hog’s Head

Located at the back of The Three Broomsticks restaurant is the Hog’s Head.

Here you’ll find a range of delicious drinks including Hot Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice alongside both domestic and imported beers such as the exclusive Hog’s Head Brew.

5. French Street Bistro

Situated in the upper lot of Universal Studios Hollywood is the ever so delicious French Street Bistro.

This place is perfect if you’re looking to dine on a budget since most sandwhiches and salads here are under $15 while most combos are under $22.

6. NBC Sports Grill & Brew

💰 Price: $$

NBC Sports Grill is one of the largest and most popular restaurants at Universal CityWalk.

This awesome restaurant serves a range of traditional American food at an affordable price while broadcasting an extensive number of sports channels on large screens.

All this makes the NBC Sports Grill the perfect place for sports fans looking for either a quick bite or a full meal.

7. Mini Monster

🥗 Cuisine: Japanese
💰 Price: $

Looking to try something unique during your trip to Universal Studios? In that case be sure to head to Mini Monster.

This little place at Universal’s CityWalk packs a big personality serving an extensive range of teas and boba which have been made in small batches on-site.

Each drink served here is available in a take-home California classic glass jar or a giant light bulb jar which can be refilled at a discount.

8. VIVO Italian Kitchen

Vivo Italian Kitchen is a great choice for those looking for classic Italian food in a semi-formal setting at CityWalk.

This restaurant can be the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long adventure-filled day at the parks. That being said, this restaurant is also incredibly popular as such we recommend reserving a table or arriving early – especially during busy times.

9. Wetzel’s Pretzels

💰 Price: $

Wetzel’s Pretzels is a Pasadina based company serving an delicious handcrafted pretzels alongside either a sweet or salty dish.

While the name suggests that pretzels is all that’s served at this CityWalk establishment you maybe pleased to know that hog dogs are also on the menu – and believe me when I say, they are incredible!

10. Firehouse Subs

💰 Price: $

Firehouse Subs hasn’t long been open, yet it’s been quick to make an impact.

This delicious sandwhich shop located at Universal’s CityWalk serves build-your-own sandwhiches or grilled toasts using premium meats and cheeses all at an incredible price.

11. Mel’s Diner

🥗 Cuisine: American
💰 Price: $

Mel’s Diner is without a doubt one of the best restaurants at Universal Hollywood.

This 50s-inspired diner’s delights with incredible attention to detail decor and a jukebox playout out some of the classics from the decade.

Meanwhile, the menu items generally come in at under $15 plus tax – making this a solid choice for the entire family.

12. Luigi’s Pizza

💰 Price: $

Another great option in the upper lot of Universal Hollywood is Luigi’s Pizza.

This Simpsons inspired quick-service resturant is the ideal place to dine on some affordable Italian food including pizza pies and pasta dishes.

Sadly the only thing that let’s this place down is the limited amount of indoor and outdoor seating available nearby which may result in you eating curbside.

13. Krusty Burger

💰 Price: $

Also situated in Springfield, home of The Simpsons is the world-famous Krusty Burger.

This restaurant is part of a Simpsons food court so to speak with other Simspons inspired resturants including The Frying Dutchman, and Cletus’ Chicken Shack all available inside a single building just to the side of The Simpsons Ride.

With a choice of burgers, fried chicken and pizza and an extensive range of indoor and outdoor seating, Krusty Burger is a great choice for families looking for quick and easy food on a budget.

14. Voodoo Doughnut

🥗 Cuisine: Doughnuts
💰 Price: $

Voodoo Doughnut is an iconic doughnut chain located in CityWalk.

With a range of both traditional and quirky doughnut options, it’s easy to see why this has quickly become the place for grabbing doughnuts when visiting Universal Studios.

There’s no seating available here so you’ll either want to eat on the go or grab a box to take back to your hotel (or home) with you instead.

15. Bubba Gump Shrimp co.

💰 Price: $$$

The iconic Bubba Gump Shrimp co. is a fantastic place to eat during your trip to the Universal Studios Hollywood.

Situated at the edge of CityWalk, this restaurant serves an extensive range of seafood dishes suitable for the entire family.

However, this popular restaurant chain can get incredibly busy, especially during the peak season. As such we highly recommend reserving a table in advance if you’re looking to grab dinner here.

16. Lard Lad Donut

🥗 Cuisine: Doughnuts
💰 Price: $

If you’re looking to eat a doughnut the size of your head then look no further than the iconic Lard Lad Donut shop inside Springfield, home of The Simpsons.

Personally, we find a whole Lard Lad doughnut to ourselves delicious, albeit too much.

As such we usually look to share either one between two or one between three during our trips to the park.

17. Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck

Located in Springfield, home of The Simpsons is the incredible Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck.

This small quick-service food truck serves budget-friendly Mexican-inspired meals with a small number of outdoor tables and chairs to eat at this is the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat.

18. Antojitos Cocina Mexicana

🥗 Cuisine: Mexican
💰 Price: $$$

Antojitos Cocina Mexicana is a great place to dine on more tradition Mexican food at Universal CityWalk.

The menu highlights here include the resturants signature guacamole and tacos alongside more than 150 different tequilas – the refreshing treat you might need after a long day at the park.

This resturant can get incredibly popular, especially during the peak season. As such we highly reccomend reserving a table here where possible.

19. Chick Chick Chicken

Chick Chick Chicken serves exactly what you might expect, chicken.

This quick service restuant located in CityWalk combines a colorful presentation of hand-breaded chicken with a nostalgic feeling that highlights exciting, yet familiar flavors, all at a price of under $12 per meal.

20. Cinnabon

💰 Price: $

The popular food chain Cinnabon serves an extensive range of sweet treats from it’s store at CityWalk.

This is our go-to place for breakfast as we walk from the parking lot over to the park entrance, and depending on the day we’ve had we might just pick one up for the way home too!

21. Dongpo Kitchen

🥗 Cuisine: Chinese
💰 Price: $$

Dongpo is a popular chain of resturants in Chinese which opted to open it’s first casual dining resturant at Universal’s CityWalk just a couple of years ago.

Known for serving moderntakes on traditional Sichuanese cuisine this place is perfect for those looking to try something different without breaking the bank!

22. Pinks Famous Hot Dogs

💰 Price: $

I remember our first trip to Universal Hollywood like it was yesterday. After a fun-filled day at the theme parks we took ourselves to Pinks for a delicious budget-friendly meal having seen it on a TV travel show here in the UK.

Of course, our history with Universal Studios is nothing compared to the history of Pinks Famous Hot Dogs.

Founded by Paul Pink back in 1939, this resturant chain is still family-owned and operated. Pinks is an LA landmark, so be sure that if you don’t grab one here you find one while you’re out and about exploring the city.

23. Minion Café

💰 Price: $

The Minion Cafe is an incredibly spacious quick-service resturant located at the edge of Super Silly Fun Land in the upper lot.

The menu here is very family friendly and includes everything from classic grilled cheese sandwhiches to delicious chicken bacon ranch mac n cheese.

If you’re travelling with kids then this is no doubt going to be your ‘sit and drink coffee’ spot from which you watch your little ones explore Super Silly Fun Land.

24. Mulligan’s Irish Pub

💰 Price: $$

Located in the upper lot of Universal Hollywood is Mulligan’s Irish Pub.

This small venue is the perfect place to grab a pint of Irish beer including both Guiness and Samuel Adams alongside some tasty savoury snacks such as chips (crisps) and peanuts.

25. Wasabi

🥗 Cuisine: Japanese
💰 Price: $$

Looking for something different after your day at Universal Studios Hollywood? – Then look no further than Wasabi.

This Japanese resturant offers an extensive range of innovative specialty sushi rolls made using incredibly fresh, high-quality incredients alongside chicken and salmon teriyaki and tempura.

This resturant is relatively small and can be very popular, as such we highly reccomend booking at table here in advance if you’re looking to dine here.

26. The Habit Burger Grill

The Habit Burger Grill recently opened at Universal Hollywood’s CityWalk to rave reviews.

This award-winning American resturant founded in California is most known for their Charburgers – burgers grilled over an open flam.

However, there’s also a range of signature sandwiches and fresh-cut salads to choose from too.

27. Studio Cafe

🥗 Cuisine: American
💰 Price: $

Siutated in the lower lot of Universal Studios Hollywood is the Studio Cafe.

While the decor here isn’t as exciting as other fast food resturants inside of the theme park, the menu is extensive and the food is delicious.

Some of our favourites here include the rotisserie chicken, turkey leg and the ceaser salad.

28. Taco Bell

💰 Price: $

If you’re looking for a familiar place to eat during your trip to Universal Studios Hollywood then look no further than Taco Bell.

This American-Mexican fast-food chain has a large resturant space at Universal’s CityWalk from which it’s serving all the classics including the grilled chicken burrito and the signature beef quesadilla.

29. Sparky’s Mini Donuts and Chocolates

💰 Price: $

Looking for a unique snack at Universal’s CityWalk? Then look no further than Sparky’s Mini Donuts and Chocolates.

This small store serves a range of fudge, truffles and caramel apples but is perhaps most known for it’s Trish’s mini donuts which are made hot to order and coated with cinnamon sugar.

30. Johnny Rockets

💰 Price: $$

Having been founded in 1986 and with more than 350 locations in 28 countries, it’s safe to say that Johnny Rockets is somewhat of a familiar face.

Located at Universal’s CityWalk this resturant is so much more than just a burger joint. Instead, expect an innovative menu with dishes cooked-to-order from the finest ingredients served in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
