Can You Wear Crocs to Universal Studios?

One of the best tips I have for visiting Universal Studios is to wear comfortable clothing. This is especially true for footwear, as you will likely walk more than 10,000 steps daily.

When thinking of comfortable footwear, you may think of Crocs. However, Universal Studios has a strict dress code policy, so you may wonder if Crocs are allowed.

You are allowed to wear Crocs to Universal Studios.

I have worn Crocs to both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando several times and never had any issues. However, just because you can wear Crocs to Universal Studios doesn’t always mean you should.

As I mentioned, you will walk more than 10,000 steps daily at Universal Studios. So, you want to be sure your Crocs will provide you with the comfort and support you need to do this.

Even if you have worn Crocs for 10,000 steps or more in the past, I still recommend adding a second or third pair of shoes to your Universal Studios packing list. This way, you can alternate between different styles and types of shoes during your vacation.

Wearing Crocs on Rollercoasters at Universal Studios

You can wear Crocs on rollercoasters at Universal Studios.

I have worn Crocs to both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando several times without issue. However, I have heard of some people being asked to remove their Crocs on rides at Universal Studios.

It’s rare for a staff member to ask you to remove your Crocs for a rollercoaster at Universal Studios. However, the decision comes down to the staff member in charge of that rollercoaster at the time.

If you wear Crocs on a rollercoaster at Universal Studios and they come off, you may injure another guest. You may also find that you can not get your Crocs back (or have to wait until after the park closes).

Wearing Crocs to the Volcano Bay Water Park

You are allowed to wear Crocs to the Volcano Bay water park.

While Crocs are permitted inside Volcano Bay, you cannot wear them on rides at the water park for health and safety reasons.

If you need your Crocs to walk between rides, you can leave them at the bottom of the stairs or the edge of the water. Alternatively, you can store Crocs in a Volcano Bay locker.

Universal Studios Travel Planning Guide

🎟️ Where To Buy Tickets for Universal Studios?

If you’re based in the US or Canada, I recommend Klook for your Universal Studios tickets.

Klook consistently has the most competitive prices. There’s also a range of different ticket options to suit all budgets and requirements.

Meanwhile, if you’re based in the United Kingdom. Then I recommend buying your Universal Studios theme park tickets from AttractionTix.

I personally use AttractionTix when purchasing theme park tickets. That’s because AttractionTix consistently has the most competitive prices and incredible customer service.

🏥 Should I Buy Travel Insurance for a Visit to Universal Studios?

If you’re travelling to Universal Studios for vacation, then travel insurance is recommended. Basic travel insurance coverage with Safety Wing averages between $5 – $10 per day and offers peace of mind.

However, if a trip to Universal Studios isn’t part of a vacation. For example, you live locally. Then travel insurance isn’t likely to be necessary.

🚘 Do I Need to Rent a Car for a Visit to Universal Studios?

You don’t need to rent a car to visit Universal Studios. Instead, you can take an Uber or Lyft, as the theme park has pick-up and drop-off points.

Parking at Universal Studios is expensive, so taking an Uber or Lyft can, in some cases, be cheaper.

However, if a trip to Universal Studios only makes up a portion of your vacation, then you may want to rent a car. I personally use Discover Cars to find the best car rental when visiting the USA.

🏨 How to Book Accommodation for Universal Studios

To book accommodation at Universal Studios, I use either Booking.com or Hotels.com. However, for large families and groups, VRBO is my number one choice.
