While we have stayed in many Easy Hotels before and know what to expect I still wanted to shed some light on our recent stay at Easy Hotel Luton. This time we were using Easy Hotel Luton for a trip to Iceland, instead of driving all the way from Wakefield to Luton airport we decided to stay nearby and drive the 15 minutes to the airport to give ourselves a much less stressful morning.
The location was perfect for anyone staying in Luton for a night out or to be near the airport. It was located in the town centre by a shopping mall and some surrounding pubs, takeaways and restaurants. There was a pay and display car park located at the end of the street for your convenience.
The hotel is located a 2-minute walk to the nearest train station for anyone getting around by train. If you are also looking to get bus links you can head to the Starbucks by the train station for information.
The room was located on the 1st floor. This was a first for us as we have always been in the basement or ground floor with no window. We were lucky and got a window this time, the window had a double layer of blackout blinds. The room though small was cosy, warm and had everything you would need. There were 2 sets of towels nicely laid out on the bed with the remote placed with them.
While we know what to expect from an Easy Hotels we were pleasantly surprised by our stay and the price. The bed was up against the wall and window with a tv up on the wall at the end. There was a small corner side table on at the end of the bed. It was big enough to place a drink and car keys on. Within the bed frame was a small luggage area to store your bags. It wasn’t huge so anything bigger than hand luggage would struggle.
The bathroom was located on the right as you walk in the door. It is a full wet room but still came with a shower curtain. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use the shower curtain as it was broken. The shower on the plus side was powerful and you could control the temperature. There was both hand wash and shower gel provided, the shower gel also doubled up as shampoo.
The hotel says it has parking but it is not directly on site, it is a car park 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It is a pay and display car park located on the end of the street for your convenience. The car park is not owned by the Easy Hotel Luton but is recommended for guests who require parking. There is camera’s within the car park so it is secure to leave your vehicle overnight.
There is also said to be a snack bar, the snack bar is a vending machine within the reception area. It has crisps, chocolate and a small variety of drinks. The snacks and drinks were roughly £1 per item. If you prefer something warm there is takeaways and restaurants all within a half-mile radius of the hotel.
The reception desk is open 24 hours for any late arrivals or early departures. Perfect for anyone catching a flight the next morning. There is also complimentary WIFI for guests at Easy Hotel Luton.
If like us you are looking for somewhere to stay while flying from London Luton Airport check out Easy Hotels Luton. I would recommend staying in Easy Hotels as you can save money and they provide you with everything you need. As always if you have stayed in this particular hotel or easy hotels in general, we would love to know your thoughts. If there is somewhere you would recommend staying at over Easy Hotel Luton please do let us know.
Easy hotels are just that…easy. We have never had any trouble when staying at Easy Hotels and don’t think it will change any time soon. I would definitely recommend using Easy Hotels for a couple nights or a place to sleep before an early flight the next day. The rooms are comfortable and come with everything you need. I would definitely be using Easy Hotels again.
