We’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Disneyland Resort in California multiple times over the past decade and during our trips we’ve often found that the most relaxing, stress-free places to stay during these trips are usually within walking distance.
Hotels within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort in California can help take the stress out of your trip and allow you to spend more time on rides and meeting characters inside the park.
However, with over fifty hotels within walking distance of Disneyland Resort, it’s safe to say that proximity is only half of our decision.
Instead, we try to look for the hotel that best meets the needs of our trip.
For example, if we’re travelling for a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding anniversary, we might look to splash out and stay on-site in one of the Disneyland Resort hotels.
Meanwhile, if we’re travelling with my elderly parents, we might look for a hotel that offers interconnecting rooms and disabled access modifications.
Therefore having experienced a vast number of hotels in the Anaheim region, we wanted to put together this list of the best hotels within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort to help you plan your trip.
Hotels On-Site At Disneyland California
There are three hotels situated inside the Disneyland Resort in California. Being on-site, these hotels are the closest to the action and offer several additional perks. However, this luxury comes at a cost of between $300 and $750 per night on average.
1. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the closest hotel to the Disneyland Park entrance. However, it’s also the most expensive, with rooms often ranging between $500 and $750 per night.
Thankfully, this hotel is far more than just its proximity to the Disneyland Resort as each room comes fully equipped with;
- Large high-definition TV complete with streaming channels
- Coffee machine
- Luxury king-size beds with Egyptian cotton bedding
While the hotel itself features;
- Luxury spa offering a range of treatments
- Three themed swimming pools
- A fitness centre complete with in-person classes

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is the most affordable of the three on-site hotels at the Disneyland Resort, with rooms available for between $300 and $450 per night.
This hotel was built in 2015 and renovated in 2020 in line with the launch of Paradise Pier within the Disneyland Resort.

Each room at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel comes complete with;

- Disney themed toiletries
While the hotel itself features;
- Rooftop waterslides

Situated across the street from the Disneyland Resort, just a 1-minute stroll from the pedestrian entrance, you’ll find the Best Western Plus Inn.
