22 Hotels Within Walking Distance Of Disneyland California (For Every Budget)

We’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Disneyland Resort in California multiple times over the past decade and during our trips we’ve often found that the most relaxing, stress-free places to stay during these trips are usually within walking distance.

Hotels within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort in California can help take the stress out of your trip and allow you to spend more time on rides and meeting characters inside the park.

However, with over fifty hotels within walking distance of Disneyland Resort, it’s safe to say that proximity is only half of our decision.

Instead, we try to look for the hotel that best meets the needs of our trip.

For example, if we’re travelling for a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding anniversary, we might look to splash out and stay on-site in one of the Disneyland Resort hotels.

Meanwhile, if we’re travelling with my elderly parents, we might look for a hotel that offers interconnecting rooms and disabled access modifications.

Therefore having experienced a vast number of hotels in the Anaheim region, we wanted to put together this list of the best hotels within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort to help you plan your trip.

There are three hotels situated inside the Disneyland Resort in California. Being on-site, these hotels are the closest to the action and offer several additional perks. However, this luxury comes at a cost of between $300 and $750 per night on average.

1. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the closest hotel to the Disneyland Park entrance. However, it’s also the most expensive, with rooms often ranging between $500 and $750 per night.

Thankfully, this hotel is far more than just its proximity to the Disneyland Resort as each room comes fully equipped with;

  • Large high-definition TV complete with streaming channels
  • Coffee machine
  • Luxury king-size beds with Egyptian cotton bedding

While the hotel itself features;

  • Luxury spa offering a range of treatments

Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel can sleep up to 5 people, while suites can sleep up to 16.

While the exact room amenities can vary depending on the room you choose, all rooms come with the following as standard;

Meanwhile the hotel itself includes facilities such as;

  • Character dining at Goofy’s Kitchen

Rooms at The Disneyland Hotel are often slightly cheaper than Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa but still usually hover between the $350 to $500 price point.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is the most affordable of the three on-site hotels at the Disneyland Resort, with rooms available for between $300 and $450 per night.

This hotel was built in 2015 and renovated in 2020 in line with the launch of Paradise Pier within the Disneyland Resort.

As a result, you’ll find that this hotel can combine a range of modern luxuries alongside quaint, old-fashioned seaside decor incredibly well.

Each room at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel comes complete with;

  • Air conditioning

11. Candy Cane Inn

The Candy Cane Inn is a short 7-minute walk from Disneyland, California and is one of the highest-rated hotels in the Anaheim region. Yet, it is still relatively affordable, with prices starting at around $180 per night.

The hotel has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, with all rooms and hotel amenities being modernised to a high standard.

As a result, you can now expect each room to feature;

  • Refridgerator
  • Coffee maker
  • Hairdryer
  • Iron & ironing board

While the hotel itself offers;

  • Complimentary self-parking
  • Shuttle to Disneyland California
  • Heated outdoor pool
  • Fitness room
  • Complimentary breakfast

Sadly, however, each room here can only accommodate up to five people in two queen beds & a rollaway, which makes it unsuitable for some families.

12. Castle Inn & Suites

The Castle Inn & Suites is precisely what you might expect, a castle.

Just 8 minutes from Disneyland California, this three-star hotel offers a range of room combinations holding up to six people.

The amenities in each room include, at a minimum;

  • Refridgerator
  • Microwave
  • Flat-screen TV

While the hotel itself boats;

  • Complimentary parking

However, while the rooms and amenities here are plentiful, this hotel isn’t as modern as some of its competitors at a similar price and within an equal distance to the Disneyland California park.

As such, I’d only recommend booking this hotel if all others have sold out or are above budget during your trip.

13. Hyatt House Anaheim Resort & Convention Center

17. Howard Johnson By Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground

Just a 12-minute walk from the South Harbor entrance to Disneyland, you’ll find the Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham.

However, these additional hotel features come at a price with a minimum two-night stay requirement and prices for economy rooms starting at $280 per night.

While the exact format of the room and its level of amenities can vary, the rooms are generally formatted as follows;
