With the outlying reason being, maximising your time in the city and not having to travel with all your bags in tow. We’ve created this list to help you find the most affordable and convenient luggage storage location in Paris.

On a quick side note, if this is your first visit to Paris consider reading our article about the scams you might see in the city. We experienced some of these scams first hand on our visit which is what motivated us to write and inform other travellers about what to look out for.

Luggage Storage In Paris Locations

A new and super convenient type of luggage storage has rolled into Paris. You can drop off your bags by using LuggageHero?s network of 50 local shops located around crucial traffic hubs, tourist destinations and popular districts. For instance, you?ll find sites at Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon.

Let?s say you arrive from the airport or train station hours before your rental is ready and you want to check out the sights without pulling your luggage behind you. Maybe you want to visit Louvre, the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame Cathedral. Whichever location you choose, LuggageHero is there to lighten your load.

Just go to the LuggageHero reservation platform to find a handy storage site inside a shop or other business ? all verified by LuggageHero. Using their map, you can locate the shops that are nearest to stations you?ll use, attractions you?ll visit, or neighbourhoods you?ll stay in. Store your luggage there for easy drop-off and pickup. Each bag receives a safety seal, and the bag and contents are insured for ?2,500. And, if your plans change, there?s no cancellation fee.

Charges start at ?1 per hour with a maximum of ?10 per day per piece of luggage first day, plus a one-time handling fee of ?2 per bag. If you?re also travelling in other major European cities, look for LuggageHero there too.

Train Stations

Below is a list of all the train stations in central Paris that include luggage storage. Storing your luggage in the train station is a popular choice for many as it’s a gateway in and out of the city. Perfect, if you’re only spending the day in Paris before travelling elsewhere.

Gare du Nord

To get to the luggage storage area at Gare Du Nord you’ll need to navigate towards the exit of rue de Maubeuge. From there you’ll be able to take a lift to go down to the ground floor (-1). The Gare du Nord luggage storage is located next to all the car rental companies booths. Directly opposite from the luggage storage is Platform 3 of the Grandes Lignes.

Locker Size & Availability

There are approximately 100 lockers at the Gare du Nord luggage storage location. These are broken down into three sizes;

Small: Height: 43 cm Width: 34 cm Depth: 82 cm

Medium: Height: 59 cm Width: 34 cm Depth: 82 cm

Large: Height: 90 cm Width: 51 cm Depth: 82 cm

Price

The price is a fixed rate for 24 hours. You can access your luggage prior to the 24-hour mark, however, you will not receive any change as a result. If you exceed the maximum rental time of 24 hours then your locker will be blocked until you arrive and you’ll be charged for the extra time at a rate of ?5 per locker hour – payments should be made at the ticket office.

I, therefore, suggest that if you’re planning on storing your luggage at Gare du Nord station for longer than 24 hours. You return to take your luggage out and resubmit your luggage for a further 24 hours.

Small: ?5.50

Gare de Marne-la-Vall?e Chessy

Gare de Marne-la-Vallee Chessy is the Disneyland Paris train station and is a popular luggage storage location for those who are visiting Disneyland Paris for the day (or who want to get to the parks prior to checking into a hotel)

You’ll find the luggage storage at Gare de Marne-la-Vallee Chessy on the first-floor mezzanine (the furthest size from the exit to the shuttle buses and taxis).

Charles de Gaulle luggage storage is available in terminal 2 beside the TGV-RER Railway station opposite the Sheraton hotel.

These aren’t lockers and instead, are staffed luggage areas under security. All items will need to be x-rayed. This also permits larger items, as there’s no particular ‘bay’ in which an item has to fit into.

Attractions

The Louvre

Visitors with tickets to The Louvre are welcome to use the museum’s coat and luggage storage area free of charge. However, for safety reasons bags of a large volume (volume not specified) are now allowed inside the museum, therefore, visitors are advised not to bring large bags or cases to The Louvre.

Luggage storage is located under the Pyramid and is open daily (except for Monday’s and Tuesdays) from 9.00am until 6.45pm. (the closing time is extended until 9.45pm on Wednesdays and Fridays)

All checked objects must be picked up the same day.

Specialist Paris Luggage Storage Locations

Eelway

Eelway is one of the most popular specialist luggage storage applications in Paris. Specialising in both luggage storage and luggage shipping. Eelway has partnered with a vast number of hotels to allow you to store and collect your belongings at a time that suits you.

The price for storing luggage with Elway is fixed at ?10 per day and is bookable in advance online.

City Locker

City Locker isn’t quite as nifty as Eelway in my opinion but if you’re struggling to find an Eelway near you then City Locker is a great second choice.

Again you can book online and choose from 13 different storage locations. Prices vary depending on location but tend to be around the ?10 – ?15 mark.

NannyBag

NannyBag might be a luggage storage company you’ve heard of before. They offer the largest worldwide network of luggage storage services with lockers in more than 250 cities around the world.

A great advantage to NannyBag is their mobile application that works on both Apple and Android which uses your phones Geolocation to find the nearest luggage storage location to you at any time.

You’re able to view and leave reviews for all luggage storage locations providing you with some reassurance when booking. The majority of service providers through Nannybag tend to charge around ?6 per bag, per 24 hours.

Holibag

Holibag offers a range of storage services including; key storage, helmet storage and luggage storage. If the UI looks familiar that’s because Holibag is actually a part of the Airbnb company. Which provides a great amount of reassurance.

Again you’ll find that there’s a mobile application for both iOS and Android which is able to use your geolocation to find the nearest storage location. Prices are set by the luggage storage hosts and therefore vary dramatically depending on location. However, items can be stored for as little as 30 minutes or as long as a couple of weeks.

That concludes our breakdown of the best locations for luggage storage in Paris. As always we’d love to know if you know of any other locations or companies that offer luggage storage in Paris that haven’t been covered in this article – you can contact us via the contact us page or in the comments below.
