On our first visit to Newquay, we drove from our home in Wakefield and used the town as a base to explore other Cornish towns such as St Ives and Padstow. However, little we didn’t know how difficult it would be to park while we were there.

Due to our b&b not having designated parking, we were left using local car parks, which were both stressful and difficult, to say the least.

Coming back to the car parks in Newquay after a day out wasn’t something we looked forward to. However, the experience did provide us with a lot of useful information that we’re looking forward to sharing in this post.

Each car park in the list below has a bio with opening times, parking charges, local amenities and other notes. As a result, you should be able to find a car park near to where you’re visiting or staying while in Newquay.

There are several ways you can pay, from cash with coins and notes to card payments, apple pay and even through mobile phone, though we struggled with mobile reception so make sure you have a backup in case you struggle.

The car park is open to cars, small vans and motorcycles, though the car park is tight to manoeuvre and so if you require more space or you are a larger vehicle I would look at one of the others on the list. There is no sleeping or camping permitted within the car park.
