The Yorkshire Dales is comprised of 841 square miles of river valleys and hills spanning Kirkby Stephen south to Ilkley and Harrogate. It’s the national park closest to our home and one we’ve visited multiple times since childhood.
While there are many great accommodation options when visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Camping is a great option, there are multiple campsites across the Yorkshire Dales each of which come in a different size, and with different facilities. All this ensures you’re guaranteed to find the perfect accommodation for your trip.
Some of our favourite places to visit during a trip to the Yorkshire Dales include;
Burnsall – Situated in North Yorkshire just a couple miles south of Grassington. Burnsall has only 100 residents, the River Wharf runs through the village and the five-arched bridge gives it an incredible charm.
Kettlewell – Just 7 miles north of Grassington you’ll find Kettlewell. Home to just two inn’s and a hotel, Kettlewell is the perfect choice for those who plan to spend the majority of their time in the Dales out walking.
Pateley Bridge – Lying on the River Nid is the small market town of Pateley Bridge. There’s a handful of hotels, B&B’s, cottages and campsites for tourists here as well as some amazing places to eat.
