Center Parcs is a popular holiday destination for families and people in the UK. Center Parcs can feel like a home from home, and with 5 locations in the UK, you can be as close or as far from home as you like. It is also an excellent place for families to participate in several different activities.
You can book your Center Parcs holiday activities online, by phone or in-person when you arrive for your holiday. Booking in advance is advised, especially in peak holiday seasons due to high demand and more guests taking part. We find it easier to book online or by phone.
Center Parcs has activities that are specialised for families, children only and adults only. Furthermore, most activities cost anything from £10 to £80, whereas your Centre Parcs booking includes the swimming pool and slides.
Do You Have To Pre Book Activities At Center Parcs?
No, you do not have to pre-book activities; it is mostly advised during peak times. Peak times include school holidays, bank holiday weekends and December/ Christmas.
You can book activities once you arrive or on the day, though if you choose to wait, you may miss out or pick a time that is most suited to you. Of course, the quicker you decide, the more convenient of a time slot you will get.
We found that we booked two activities for our first trip and we were going in off-peak time and found it was very quiet and we could have turned up at any time to book onto our chosen activity.
If there is an activity you want to do, I suggest booking it as soon as possible. However, all activities require payment in full when booking.
How To Book Activities At Centre Parcs
There are three main ways to book activities at Center Parcs. First, the booking process, whether on the phone, online or in-person, is easy, straight forward and hassle-free.
To book an activity in advance, you are required to have already booked your Center Parcs trip as activities are tied to a booking reservation number.
Booking activities in advance can be an excellent way of ensuring you have a spot on an activity you want to do or give you something to look forward to.
By Phone
If you are looking to book an activity, you can do this by phone. If you wish to speak to a team member at Center Parcs to have more information or look for multiple people, this may be the best way to book.
Speaking to a team member may be more helpful if you are going as a larger group and only certain group members are taking part, or you need to book anything more specific.
You can pay by credit or debit card or with a Center Parcs voucher over the phone.
Online
The most popular option for booking activities for Center Parcs is online. You will be required to log in and have a reservation before booking activities.
Online you can find the location where you are booked to stay and browse the available indoor and outdoor activities. In addition, you can look at specific categories such as for children, family activities and adults-only etc.
You can browse the different activities with short descriptions of each activity and see in more detail what it includes and what’s required.
Here is a helpful link of the different resorts and a PDF file with every activity they have, a list of prices, age requirements, days of the week and duration of the activity.
Payment online will be by credit and debit card, which you can choose or have a saved card for purchases.
In Person
Once you have arrived at Center Parcs and you are all settled in, you might fancy going bowling one night or playing tennis one of your days. However, these activities don’t get booked up as quickly as the others as they aren’t as popular.
More often than not, you can find a time slot the same day (in off-peak seasons) or a place for the next day (in peak season).
You can book activities at the designated desk at each area; for example, in the Outdoor activity centre, there will be a desk in which you can check times, book activities or general queries and check-in for your time slot.
These are easy to do, and the staff are always accommodating. For example, during one of our trips, we found that many of the activities we wanted to do were available the same day, so we could pick and choose when we wanted to do them.
Selected Center Parcs activities will require specific clothing or materials. For example, if you want to go to the swimming pool inside the Center Parcs village you’ll going to need a swimming costume and towel.
While you can purchase these items on-site, they are, as you might expect, expensive. Instead, I highly recommend adding these items to the Center Parcs packing list you have instead.
Booking activities on the day also gives a little more freedom to go with the flow and relax during our holiday. Though I would recommend any activity you want to do, book it in advance to save you from disappointment if there are no available slots during your stay.
You can pay by cash, credit or debit card, and voucher at the counter.
How Far In Advance Should I Book Activities?
Depending on the type of activity you want to do may depend on how far in advance you need to book. Booking in advance gives you an excellent choice for times of activities and a more comprehensive selection of options.
Activities that are highly popular from mostly the ones that are outside and have a maximum person limit are the ones you will want to book.
Here is a list of recommended activities we feel are the most popular and are likely to book up faster than others;
- Fencing For Tots
- Off-Road Explorers
- Indoor Climbing Adventure
- Mermaid & Sharks
- Archery – for both children and adults
- Aeriel Adventures – both for children, teens and adults
- Swim Pups – only available at certain villages
- Family Ski
- High Ropes
- Horse Riding
- Junior Quads
- Paintball
- Segway Tour
Not all of these activities are available in all villages and locations. Some may be location specific and also season specific.
How To Cancel Activities At Centre Parcs
Depending on your reason for cancelling may depend on how you wish to cancel your activity.
Activities can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the time stated on the activity; this will result in a 5% cancellation charge.
Center Parcs may cancel an activity or close a centre due to any number of issues; if so, any balance and pre-paid activity will be fully refunded. Here is a link to the activities cancellation policy.
You can cancel online, by phone, or if you are already at your lodge, you can ring the help desk and cancel that way. You can also go to the check-in /booking help desk at the activity centres.
