If you’re in LA, you’ve probably considered visiting the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. This 1.3-mile sidewalk along Hollywood Blvd has 2,600 stars dedicated to major music, film, television and theatre influencers.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is significantly underwhelming. However, it’s still somewhere I think everyone should visit on their first trip to LA.

Walking along Hollywood Blvd to see The Hollywood Walk of Fame is free. The sidewalk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no entrance or exit barriers.

Seeing most of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame takes around 1 hour, depending on your interest. Plus, this area has many other iconic LA landmarks, such as The Hollywood Sign and the TCL Chinese Theatre.

Is the Hollywood Walk of Fame Safe?

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is safe. However, being a major tourist attraction, you’ll find many beggars, hecklers and pickpockets here.

As such, while the Hollywood Walk of Fame is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, I suggest visiting during daylight hours. You’ll also want to be vigilant with your belongings and aware of your surroundings at all times.
