Whitby is one of the most popular coastal towns in North Yorkshire in England and makes for the perfect trip to the seaside.

Most of us visiting Whitby either come from home for the day or from a nearby campsite or hotel. As a result, you’ll find that there’s a lot of cars and not a lot of car parking spaces. Which, unsurprisingly, can cause a lot of stress and frustration (especially after two hours in the car).

Luckily, there are plenty of places to park in Whitby if you know where to look. Personally, I always start my search at the Pavilion there are two car parks here, one with 70 spaces and another with 63. If both those car parks are full, I often head around West Cliff as there are over 400 parking spaces here.

If these three car parks are full, I head to some smaller ones (as listed below). Feel free to work through this entire list and find the car park(s) that’s right for your trip to Whitby.
