Center Parcs WiFi (Availability, Speed & Price)

Free WiFi is available across every Center Parcs village, including all lodges, restaurants, cafes and bars. You can even connect in the car park. Here is everything you need to know before your break.
There is no charge and no password. The network is called “Center Parcs Guest WiFi.” When you connect, your device will redirect you to a browser where you accept the terms and conditions. Once you have done that, you are online for the duration of your stay.
You will need to repeat this process for each device you want to connect. The good news is that it is a single network across the entire village, so once a device is connected it stays connected as you move between your lodge, the pool and the restaurants.
I have used the WiFi on all of my visits to Center Parcs. I have never had a connection drop or an outage during any of our visits.
How Fast is the WiFi at Center Parcs?
The WiFi at Center Parcs is slow. Because Center Parcs is in the middle of a forest, fast internet speeds are not something you should expect.
On our most recent trip to Sherwood Forest, my average download speed was 5.5 Mbps and my upload speed was 3.75 Mbps. I found speeds at Whinfell and Woburn to be similar.

While the screenshot shows the location as Dublin, this is only where the internet server is located. I took both of these screenshots at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. I found the speeds at both Whinfell & Woburn to be very similar.
For context, 5.5 Mbps is enough for emails, social media, video calls and standard definition streaming. You may find HD streaming buffers, particularly in the evenings when a lot of guests are online at the same time.
If you are planning to watch something specific, download it before you leave home rather than relying on streaming it live.
The WiFi is generally stable enough for working remotely from your lodge, including emails and video calls. It is not reliable enough for anything bandwidth-heavy.

Does Center Parcs WiFi Work on Mobile?
Mobile signal is a separate issue from WiFi. Because of the forest setting, most networks provide little to no coverage inside the villages. Do not rely on 4G or 5G as a backup.
Check your network’s coverage map before you go. We would also recommend enabling WiFi calling on your phone before your break. This means you can still make and receive calls using the WiFi connection if your mobile signal is weak in your lodge.
Are There Any Restrictions on the Center Parcs WiFi?
Center Parcs holds Friendly WiFi certification, which is a government-initiated standard for public WiFi. In practice this means certain content is filtered, including adult content and anything flagged by the Internet Watch Foundation.
I have never had any of the restrictions interfere with anything I have wanted to do. All major streaming services, email, social media and video calling work without issue.
How to Connect a Firestick to the Center Parcs WiFi
Connecting a Firestick to the Center Parcs internet is not as straightforward as connecting a phone or laptop. The issue is that Firesticks struggle to navigate the terms and conditions acceptance page that Center Parcs uses. There are two ways around it.
Option 1: Use the hamburger button
Once you are on the sign-in screen, press the hamburger button on your Firestick remote. That is the button with three horizontal lines. This brings up a cursor that lets you navigate the page, click into the name fields and accept the terms. It should then connect without any further issues.
Option 2: Call tech support
Call Center Parcs tech support on 0800 0260836. Give them your Firestick’s MAC address, your name and your lodge number, and they will register the device on the network manually. It works immediately and the team are used to doing this. We have done it ourselves and it took less than five minutes.
If you are connecting a Chromecast, the process is simpler. Connect your phone to the Center Parcs WiFi first, accept the terms, and then cast from your phone to the Chromecast as normal.
Can You Use a Baby Monitor at Center Parcs?
You cannot use a baby monitor directly on the Center Parcs WiFi. Devices like baby monitors, smart speakers and other connected gadgets cannot navigate the terms and conditions splash page, which means they cannot connect to the network automatically.
The simplest workaround is to use your phone as a mobile hotspot and connect the device to that instead. This works reliably and means you do not need to involve anyone from the tech team.
This is helpful as I am considering booking a break next year but will need to log on to do work for 1 of the days.
