International Drive is one of the most popular places to base yourself in Orlando, with dozens of hotels offering free shuttle buses to Walt Disney World, Universal, and SeaWorld. We’ve stayed along International Drive multiple times and this guide covers the six worth considering.

Methodology: I’ve been to Orlando more than 20 times since 2019 and have stayed at several of these hotels. Every hotel below meets two criteria, both verified directly with the property in April 2026:
- Location: inside the International Drive district, taking in the I-Drive corridor itself and immediately adjacent side streets such as American Way and Jamaican Court
- Free shuttle: to at least one major Orlando park, meaning Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando or SeaWorld, at no extra charge
Ranking beyond that comes down to what matters to a free-shuttle reader. That means shuttle frequency, which parks it reaches (some skip SeaWorld or Volcano Bay), advance booking rules, room size for families, and total cost once parking and Uber savings are counted.
Every shuttle claim was checked against the hotel’s own website and triangulated with recent guest reviews on the major booking platforms. Some hotels run shuttles through a third-party partner needing advance booking, and frequency varies between properties. Each card flags this where it applies.

1. Floridays Resort Orlando
A Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel at the south end of International Drive, within walking distance of Publix, Aldi and Super Target.
Accommodation is all two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen, an in-suite washer and dryer and a private balcony. The three-bedroom suites sleep up to eight.
The pool complex has a large grand pool with a zero-entry section and a kids’ splash pad, plus a quieter second pool with a hot tub. Palm Café and the poolside Pool Bar & Grill handle casual dining.

The three-bedroom suites make this the pick for large families. Unfortunately the resort fee is $35 a night plus tax, the highest on this list, so factor it in before you compare nightly rates.
2. SpringHill Suites by Marriott
At the south end of International Drive, directly across from SeaWorld and about a 15-minute walk from the entrance. As an Official Hotel of SeaWorld you get priority park entry, a free Rescue Tour and in-park discounts.
Rooms are studio-style suites with a split bathroom layout, the toilet in one room and the shower in another. They sleep up to six on two queen beds plus a pull-out sofa, with a mini-fridge, microwave and free Wi-Fi.
The heated zero-entry pool is shared with the adjacent Fairfield Inn and has a small splash zone. Splash Bar & Grill serves poolside, and there is a 24-hour Starbucks in the lobby.

The widest shuttle network here, reaching Aquatica, Discovery Cove and the outlets as well as the big three parks. Parking is $12 a night, high for I-Drive but below what Universal and Disney charge at their own hotels.
3. Avanti International Resort
A Universal Partner Hotel directly opposite The Wheel at ICON Park, with the I-Ride Trolley’s Red Line stopping outside. At over 600 rooms it is the largest on this list, with a livelier resort-style feel.
Standard rooms come as superior queen or deluxe queen, with one king or two queens. The differences are minor enough that I would book whichever is cheaper.
Most rooms open onto exterior corridors, so expect some pool or street noise depending where you land. The pool complex has a separate children’s pool with fountains, a hot tub, and a sand-bottomed sun terrace with beach volleyball and shuffleboard.
There is also an arcade, a Café and Marketplace serving lunch and dinner, a poolside bar and a lobby barista serving Starbucks.

Five shuttle departures a day, more than any other hotel here. The $18 resort fee covers Wi-Fi, parking, the shuttles and two I-Ride Trolley tickets when you book direct, which makes it better value than it first looks.
4. Ramada Plaza Resort & Suites
We stayed here for ten nights on a budget trip to Orlando. It sits at the north end of International Drive on a lakefront site, a mile from Universal Orlando, two blocks from Volcano Bay and walking distance to CityWalk.
There is no resort fee, unusual for an I-Drive property of this size and one less hidden cost to budget for.
The hotel splits across two 12-storey towers. The South Tower has 164 deluxe rooms, most with lakefront views. The North Tower has 131 suites with separate living areas, kitchenettes with two-burner stoves and granite worktops.
The two-bedroom suites sleep up to ten. Club Level Suites in the North Tower add the rooftop SkyBar with complimentary beer and wine from noon to 8pm, a swim-in-place pool, spa, sundeck and fitness centre.

The only hotel here with no resort fee, and the one we have actually stayed in. Unfortunately the ground-floor pool is small and the free continental breakfast is basic, running to cereal, fruit, waffles and juice.
5. SureStay Plus by Best Western
On American Way, a quieter side street off the north end of International Drive, 1.3 miles from Universal Studios and walking distance to ICON Park and Fun Spot America.
All 192 rooms have been recently renovated with mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers and flat-screen TVs.
The heated outdoor pool has a Splash Pool Bar, with a separate Kid Zone playground and splash park alongside.
Free continental breakfast runs 6:30am to 9am with a make-your-own waffle station.

Unfortunately this is a two-star hotel and it shows. Rooms are basic with no soft seating beyond the bed, the breakfast spread is limited, and recent reviews flag inconsistent cleanliness. The trade-off is the rate and the walk to Universal.
6. Quality Inn on International Drive
On Jamaican Court, a side street just off International Drive running behind the ICON Park complex. About a five-minute walk from The Wheel, and easily walkable to dozens of I-Drive restaurants and shops.
Being off the main drag means rooms tend to be quieter at night. The 200 rooms have been refurbished with new flooring, refreshed bathrooms, microwaves, refrigerators and a desk with an ergonomic chair.
The outdoor heated pool is a decent size, with a children’s paddling area and a hot tub alongside. Free continental breakfast includes a make-your-own waffle station.

I have not stayed here myself, but it reviews well for cleanliness and the side-street location is genuinely quieter than the main strip. Unfortunately the gym is at the adjacent YMCA rather than on-site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the questions I’m often asked about booking an International Drive hotel with a free shuttle.
Are the shuttles really free?
At most hotels, yes, though the cost is usually bundled into the daily resort fee. That fee typically covers the shuttle, parking, Wi-Fi, and sometimes breakfast. A few International Drive hotels charge no resort fee at all, so check before booking.
Do I still need a car if my hotel has a free shuttle?
It depends on how you travel. Hotel shuttles run on fixed schedules, usually with one or two morning departures and a couple of evening returns. A rental car or Uber gives you significantly more flexibility if you want it.
Do the shuttles go directly to Magic Kingdom?
Usually no. Most International Drive hotels drop you at Disney’s Transportation and Ticket Center or at Epcot, then Disney’s monorail, bus and Skyliner network takes you on to your park. Avanti is the only hotel here with a direct Magic Kingdom drop-off.
Do I need to book the shuttle in advance?
At most hotels, yes. Reservations are usually required at least 24 hours ahead, through the concierge desk or a third-party system like themeparkbus.com (used by Ramada Plaza and Avanti). Seats are limited, so reserve early on busy days.
What time do the return shuttles leave the parks?
Return times vary by hotel and park. Most run a late afternoon and a late evening pickup, with the last shuttle usually leaving between 9pm and 10pm. Check the return schedule when you book your outbound, especially if you want fireworks or late closing.
