Stag parties are not officially allowed at Center Parcs. The company’s policy explicitly prohibits stag and hen groups in order to protect the experience for other guests.
In practice, however, thousands of groups visit every year for low-key stag weekends without any issue. Having visited Center Parcs more than ten times in the past five years, I can say with confidence that it works well for the right kind of group.
For groups who keep it sensible and considerate, Center Parcs can be an outstanding choice — particularly for those looking for an alternative to a nightclub-focused weekend.

Location
There are five Center Parcs villages in the UK. The activities available at each are broadly the same, so your decision will mostly come down to location and price.
Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire: The most central village and the easiest for groups travelling from different parts of England.
Elveden Forest, Suffolk: The best pick for groups based in East Anglia. Elveden is the only Center Parcs village with cable water skiing, and home to the longest zip wire across all five villages.
Longleat Forest, Wiltshire: The most scenic of the five villages. Natural choice for groups in the South West, and a popular stag destination because of the wide activity range and the nearby towns for anyone wanting an off-site evening.
Whinfell Forest, Cumbria: Best suited to groups travelling from the North West or Scotland, and typically the most affordable of the five making it worth considering if budget is a factor.
Woburn Forest, Bedfordshire: Just an hour from London, it’s the obvious choice for groups based in the capital.
Accommodation
Choosing the right accommodation at Center Parcs will give the group a proper private social space to enjoy the evenings together:
6-Bedroom Woodland Lodges: The only option sleeping up to 12 people, available at Whinfell, Sherwood, Elveden and Woburn. The fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy – perfect if budget is a factor.

Exclusive Lodges: Four-bedroom lodges sleeping up to eight, all with a private hot tub, sauna, steam room and games room with pool table. A worthwhile upgrade for a stag weekend — the hot tub gives the group a private social space without needing to go anywhere.
Treehouses: Four-bedroom luxury lodges with a private outdoor hot tub and games den. The most expensive accommodation at Center Parcs and with limited availability they book up fast — but worth it for a smaller group wanting something genuinely special.

Multiple Lodges: For larger groups splitting across two or more lodges, you can pay a lodge preference fee to ensure they’re located close together, so the group can move freely between them in the evening.
If you’re making a booking for a group of 10 or more, or staying in a Treehouse, Center Parcs will ask you to fill out a form during the booking process.
Activities
The activities available on-site are one of the best reasons for choosing Center Parcs for a stag party. Popular options include:
- The Subtropical Swimming Paradise: Unlimited entry is included with every break but must be booked in advance.
- Paintball: Great for groups — this activity is competitive, physical, and consistently one of the most popular activities on site.
- Laser Combat: A good alternative if anyone wants to skip the paintball bruises.
- Quad Biking: Available at most villages and consistently popular with stag groups.
- Aerial Tree Trekking: Works well even for people who aren’t particularly sporty, as the challenge element makes it fun regardless of ability.
- Archery & Climbing: Both great options to pad out a busy activity day.
- Ten Pin Bowling: Easy to book and genuinely competitive with a large group.
- Watersports: Paddle boarding, kayaking and pedalos are available at most villages and work well as a more relaxed afternoon activity.

Be sure to book your Center Parcs activities early. Popular slots sell out in advance, especially during peak season and on weekends. The booking window opens 12 weeks before your arrival, so coordinate with the group beforehand.
Food, Drink & Evening Entertainment
With no nightclub on site and bars closing around midnight, the lodge will be the social centrepiece of your evenings — and that’s one of the things that makes Center Parcs really work well for this kind of trip.
If you’re in an Exclusive Lodge or Treehouse with a hot tub and games room, you already have your own private venue.

I’d always suggest bringing your own food and drinks for the lodge as the on-site supermarket is expensive and the bars are priced at resort rates. But if you want to eat out, there are several restaurants available on-site covering most tastes although it’s worth booking a table in advance with a larger group — especially on weekends.
If your group wants a “proper night out” then you’ll have to leave the Center Parcs village. However, the quality of nearby nightlife varies significantly depending on which village you’ve chosen so it’s worth researching the nearest town before you book, particularly if an off-site evening is important to your group.
Costs
The total cost of a weekend stag party at Center Parcs will typically cost between £250 and £450 per person once accommodation, activities, food and drink are factored in.
Accommodation: The single biggest cost, which varies considerably by lodge type, village, time of year, and break duration. As a rough guide, a weekend break in a standard Woodland Lodge sleeping 8–10 people will typically cost somewhere between £800 and £2,000+ depending on the village and season.
Activities: This is where costs can add up quickly. Paintball, quad biking, and high ropes sessions can each run to £25–£80 per person depending on the activity and village, so a full day of group activities adds up fast.
Food & Drink: Will depend on how much you eat in or eat out. Bringing your own food and alcohol for lodge evenings is the single most effective way to keep costs down.

There are occasionally deals and discounts available on Center Parcs breaks, but savings are typically modest and come with caveats — booking in advance remains the best approach.
Practical Tips
Book as far in advance as possible: Weekend breaks fill up months ahead so for the best availability and price it’s always worth booking as far in advance as you can.
Have the budget conversation early: Center Parcs is not a cheap destination. Being upfront about expected costs before anyone commits saves difficult conversations later.
Keep stag party elements low-key: Fancy dress is not permitted on site. Anything that marks you out as an obvious stag group in public areas increases the risk of being asked to leave.
Choose your timing carefully: Midweek breaks during term time are considerably cheaper than weekend breaks during school holidays. If the group can be flexible, the savings are significant.
Cars stay in the car park. You unload at the lodge on arrival, then the car goes in the main car park. The village is car-free after that, so factor in bikes if you don’t want to walk — you can either bring your own or pre-book hire bikes, as they go quickly on busy weekends.
